The Antarjaal period drama’s shoot had to be halted multiple times because of the pandemic and also due to the unavailability of Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed who was initially cast as one of the main leads. It dwells on the growing attachment, despite all odds, between an affluent Brahmo woman and an indigent but brilliant Hindu young man.While Rituparna will be seen as Bijoya, the liberated Brahmo lady, Joy Sengupta plays Naren, another important character in the film.
