Bidrohi (2022)

Bidrohi, starring popular actor Shakib Khan and Shobnom Bubly, will be released for the audience this Eid-Ul-Adha. The movie was supposed to be released during Eid-Ul-Fitr, but the ongoing crisis delayed the release. As an alternative to the cinema hall, the director Shahin Sumon is planning to release the film on the production house’s online streaming app. Bidrohi (transl. The Rebel) is an 2022 Bangladeshi action drama film.[3] The film is directed by Shaheen Sumon and is produced by Selim Khan under the banner of Shapla Media. The film is written by Delwar Hossain Dil.[4][5] It feature Shakib Khan, Shabnom Bubly and Sushmita Mridula in the lead roles,[6] and Misha Sawdagor, Amit Hasan, Shiba Shanu, Don, Sadek Bachchu, and Saberi Alam have played supporting roles in film.[7] But the COVID-19 situation delayed the releasing date. Shahin Sumon, director of this film, thinking of releasing the film on an online streaming app.[8] Finally it released on 3 May 2022 in 102 cinemas in Bangladesh.

Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan was a little bit off this year because of various controversies. Although, two of his films, “Golui” and “Bidrohi” were released this year, but couldn’t do well in the theatres.

After a long time, Jaya Ahsan’s much-awaited film “Beauty Circus” was released this year. The actress did a wonderful job of highlighting the indomitable spirit of her character, Beauty, in the film. However, the film could not attract much audience to the theatres.

Siam Ahmed starter “Shaan”, “Paap Punno”, “Operation Sundarban” and “Damal” was released this year, making him one of the most consistent actors of this generation.

Puja Chery proved with her recent work that she possesses the talent to become the queen of showbiz one day. Her films, “Golui” and “Shaan” garnered much attention this year. Through “Golui” she paired up with Shakib Khan for the first time. Recently, her film “Hridita” was released in the theatres but couldn’t attract the audience to the theatres.
