Shivprasad Nandita’s new film ‘Hami 2’ was released on December 23 along with ‘Prajapati’ and ‘Hatyapuri’. Starring Shivprasad Mukherjee, Gargi Roychowdhury, Anjan Dutt, Kharaj Mukherjee, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and many more. Four years have passed since ‘Hami’. Once again Laltu and Mithali brought a new story, a new message. This film is a gift for children for Christmas, this film is a lesson for adults.

From friendship to child artiste, reality show to parent rivalry, yearning to get a government job to sheer fun, Shivprasad Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy’s new film Hami 2 has many topics covered. The relationship between Chinu and Vepur, their friendship, trust, and the relationship of two brothers wrapped in love has touched everyone’s heart. Vepu is the eldest child of Laltu Mithali. He is a genius. From Ramayana to Quran, Maths to General Knowledge, Geography to Science, he is very good at everything. Mouth to mouth can make a lot of money. On the other hand his brother Chinu loves planes, he has great knowledge about planes. They have a family with two sons.

Meanwhile Mithali got a chance to become viral and famous. Vepu gets a chance in a reality show. What happens there can be seen in this film.

In this film, the director duo has beautifully portrayed the dark side of the reality show. Just how much and what influences children’s minds is beautifully shown. If mother loves one brother, if he is a genius, what goes through the mind of another Haami 2 brother, what goes through the mind of friends can also be seen here. The simplicity of children, the meaning of friendship to them is really instructive. This picture reminded us once again that parents compete instead of children in reality shows.

Shivprasad Mukhopadhyay as Laltu once again impresses with his comic sense and dialogues. Gargi Roychowdhury has also beautifully portrayed the dreams of mothers of ordinary middle-class families about their children, the violence that is fostered. Anjan Dutt is seen in a small but important role. He fits the role of Nitai Jethu very well. But his place seemed very less in this film. However, Prosenjit Chatterjee once again scored a six in this film. Besides, Harnath Chakraborty, Tanushree Chakraborty, Manami Ghosh and Somak Ghosh were seen in small parts.

But what I didn’t like about this film was that the dialogue delivery of Ruksana’s teacher was too dramatic. On the other hand, how Ruksana’s friendship with Vepu and Siddhartha deepened could have been shown a little more. The story of this Hami 2 is a bit weak compared to the previous Hami story.

But apart from that, Chinu, Vepu or Ruksana, all three have won everyone’s heart with their smooth acting and simplicity. The message intended to be conveyed through the story is very clear. Various things of the society are shown here. As a result, it is needless to say that this film will teach many lessons to the audience.
